Week #7 — Update
Dear CSA member,
Below is your update for Tuesday. This week you will be getting lettuce. We gave all the lettuce a good rinse but due to the heavy rains and mud, you will want to wash your lettuce again at home. When you get your lettuce home, cut off the bottom of the lettuce and rinse the lettuce head under cool water.
Reminder: Marketplace orders (except mushrooms) must be received by 3 pm Monday for delivery Tuesday. Mushrooms need to be ordered by Friday noon the week before pickup.
Currently on the Marketplace under “Fruit in Bulk” are organic Stoneledge Farm red currants.
We also offer coffee, chocolate, maple syrup, organic flax seed oil, organic sunflower seed oil, roasted pumpkin seed oil, butternut squash seed oil and honey.

Letter from Farmer, What’s in the Bag
What’s in the Bag – Week #7
Dear CSA Member,
It has been very rainy these past few days. With all that rain comes a lot of mud! We all have been working hard to get the vegetables picked, washed and packed. The plants are holding up to the rain pretty well. The cucumbers have been enjoying these wet and damp days and have been producing like crazy. This week a bounty of cucumbers will be in your shares. Share your favorite cucumber recipe on Instagram or email them to the farm and we will add it to our Recipes page.
You will be getting more summer squash this week! Below is a Stoneledge Farm favorite summer dessert! You can use any type of squash for this recipe. Enjoy!

• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
• 2 cups shredded summer squash or zucchini
Directions:
